Driven By Purpose And Impact
CURIS Youth Development Organization (CYDO) is a local, youth-led, and nonprofit organization established in late 2016 in Jigjiga, Somali Region of Ethiopia. Originally starting as a volunteer initiative called "Naadiga Curis," the organization has over nine years of experience focusing on youth literacy, women's empowerment, Skills and Economic Development and peacebuilding initiatives.
CYDO officially became a formal organization in 2019, fulfilling all legal requirements. The organization is a legally registered local entity under the CSOs Proclamation No. 1113/2019. We are dedicated to serving vulnerable populations, with a special focus on youth, women, minorities, and persons with disabilities who face multiple layers of challenges. Currently, CYDO operates from a dedicated office in Jigjiga, supported by permanent staff and a strong team of committed volunteers.
